Aramid, Money and Meta What is Aramid, Kevlar, Nomex?

Aramid, Money and Meta What is Aramid, Kevlar, Nomex? Where to use? How is it produced? What are its features?

This material, which is polyester or nylon based, is made of nylon or polyester. The production process of this fiber consists of many stages. In this process, which begins with the preparation of the special polymer component, the first chemical reaction occurs. Then, long and flat aramid polymer molecules are obtained.

Meta-Aramid has excellent heat stability, electrical insulation, chemical stability and radiation resistance. These fibers are flame retardant and stop their own juices from burning once caught in flames. Meta-aramids are resistant to many solvents, acids and skin.

Meta-Aramid has heat and chemical stability, electrical insulation and radiation resistance. They have flame retardant properties, so they stop the flame.

Aramid fiber is a heat-resistant and strong type of synthetic fiber. It can be used instead of asbestos in space research and military purposes, in bulletproof clothing and ballistic compounds, and in bicycle wheels.

Para Aramids are used as a replacement for asbestos in brake and clutch pads, tire reinforcement, as well as composites such as materials for aircraft, boats, and high-end automobiles and sporting goods. Members of the police and military services wear anti-ballistic clothing made from Para-Aramid materials.

Kevlar® is a heat-resistant, synthetic, lightweight fiber that provides enhanced protection and performance with high tensile strength across a range of industries and applications.

While a vest made of kevlar on the human body is not bulletproof, the same kevlar vest stretched over a hard material is bulletproof. A denser and stronger weave is needed to stop pointed bullets.

Aramid Fiber, also called Kevlar® or Twaron, is a man-made organic polymer produced as Para-Aramid and Meta-Aramid.

Kevlar® has many applications in the modern world, including bicycle tires, racing sails, protective gloves and body armor. It is one of the strongest materials available worldwide, five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis.

When it comes to the defense industry, Kevlar® is one of the most widely used composite materials. Suitable for a wide variety of defense-related products, Kevlar® is an affordable, practical and versatile material that has become a necessity for performance and security needs.

Nomex® is an inherently flame-resistant, high-temperature fibre; It does not melt, does not drip and does not catch fire in contact with air. Available in paper, felt, fabric and fiber forms. Nomex® brand fiber is used in a wide range of applications, but is perhaps best known for its role as a critical component of protective clothing.

Kevlar belongs to the Aramid fiber family. After poly pera-phanylene terephthalamide was discovered, it was marketed under the brand name “KEVLAR®”. This material was discovered in 1965 by DuPont de Nemours employees Stéphanie Kwolek and Herbert Blades.
