Sulfur is the primary curing agent for natural and synthetic rubber vulcanization:
Crosslink Formation: Sulfur forms mono-, di-, and polysulfidic crosslinks between rubber chains
Vulcanization System: Used with accelerators and activators (zinc oxide, stearic acid)
Heat Resistance: Polysulfidic crosslinks provide heat resistance
Flexibility: Crosslink density determines hardness and elasticity properties

| Product | S-80 (Sulfur Masterbatch) |
| CAS | 7704-34-9 |
| Appearance | Yellow granules |
| Active Content | 80% Sulfur |
| Density | 1.50 ± 0.10 g/cm³ |
| Primary Use | Vulcanizing agent |
| Key Industries | Tire, automotive rubber, industrial rubber |
Primary Vulcanizing Agent: S-80 is the primary curing agent for all natural and synthetic rubbers. Sulfur forms crosslinks between rubber chains, providing elastomeric properties.
Masterbatch Form Advantage: S-80 is a pre-dispersed granule form of ultra-fine sulfur powder with EPDM/oil/dispersant. Compared to powder sulfur, it provides safer, cleaner, and more homogeneous dispersion.
Worker Safety: Compared to powder sulfur, it is non-flying, non-leaking, and has low odor. This directly contributes to worker health and safety.
Excellent Dispersion: Provides excellent sulfur distribution in rubber, preventing localized over-sulfur areas (bloom).
Short Mixing Time: Particularly suitable for compounds requiring short mixing cycles.
Flammable: Classified as UN 1350, Class 4.1 (Flammable Solid). Keep away from fire and heat sources.
Storage: Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated areas. Keep away from strong oxidizers and moisture.
Dosage: Dosage should be adjusted according to accelerator system and rubber type. Excess sulfur may cause "bloom" (surface migration) and brittleness.
Synergistic System: Used with accelerators (CBS, TBBS, MBT, TMTD) and activators (zinc oxide, stearic acid).
Shelf Life: 24 months (under recommended conditions). Protect from moisture and heat during long-term storage.
