Magnesium Chloride Usage Areas:
It is the most important compound used in the production of magnesium metal.
It is an important compound for controlling erosion.
'Sorel Cement' is produced by mixing magnesium oxide with this magnesium compound. The material produced in this way has a very hard structure.
MgCl2 in liquid form is used to prevent dust formation on roads that do not contain asphalt.
It is the raw material used in the production of fireproof materials.
It is the substance used in the production of skin care materials in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors.
It is used instead of Magnesium Sulfate and Magnesium Hydroxide in the production of some drugs. It has more bioavailability than magnesium sulfate and magnesium oxide. It also does not need stomach acid to dissolve.
It is used in the production of fire extinguishing chemicals.
In the production of antifreeze, it further increases the effectiveness of the antifreeze raw material Mono Ethylene Glycol and Mono Propylene Glycol compounds and further lowers the freezing point. For this reason, it is an additive in the production of antifreeze.
It is used in paper manufacturing, chilled brines and disinfectant manufacturing.
It is purified from water by forming a chelated structure with EDTA.
It is used together with Magnesium Oxide in the production of fire-resistant plywood to ensure its resistance to fire. In order for the plywood to be fire-resistant, the resin used must contain flame retardant substances.
