Reaction: Na₂SO₄ + 4C → Na₂S + 4CO

Process Flow:
Sodium Sulfate (Na₂SO₄) + Carbon (C) → High Temperature (≈1000°C) → Sodium Sulfide (Na₂S) + Carbon Monoxide (CO)

Description: Sodium sulfate is mixed with carbon (coal or coke) and heated to high temperature in a furnace. The reaction produces sodium sulfide and carbon monoxide gas. The product is cooled, crushed, and packaged.

Method 2: Barium Sulfate Process (Metathesis)

Reaction: Na₂SO₄ + BaS → Na₂S + BaSO₄
