1. Raw Material Chromite ore (FeCr₂O₄)
2. Roasting Chromite ore is roasted with soda ash (Na₂CO₃) and lime in a reverberatory furnace with air

4. Leaching Roasted product is leached with water
5. Filtration Insoluble impurities (iron oxides) are removed
