SECTION 22: CRITICAL WARNINGS AND BEST PRACTICES

CRITICAL WARNINGS:

Water Reaction (Most Critical): Sodium borohydride reacts violently with water, releasing hydrogen gas which is highly flammable and explosive. NEVER use water for extinguishing fires involving this material.

Hydrogen Explosion Risk: Contact with moisture or acids generates hydrogen gas; explosive mixtures can form in confined spaces.

**Toxic: Toxic if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through skin. Handle only in properly ventilated areas with appropriate PPE.

Corrosive: Causes severe burns to skin and eyes. Immediate first aid required upon contact.

Air Sensitivity: Moisture in air causes gradual decomposition; store under inert atmosphere.
