Areas of Use:
Sodium sulfate is a neutral salt, mostly found in bitter and salty lakes, in solid form, in mineral deposits and as a chemical by-product. Natural sodium sulfate does not contain any zinc, arsenic, lead and chromium, other heavy metals and toxic minerals. Sodium sulfate is preferred in many sectors as an additive in the production of suitable products, both naturally and synthetically. It is found in sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) compounds found in nature.
Sodium sulfate, in this way, is ready for use after the solid form of sodium sulfate is processed and evaluated in the dissolved liquids and other raw materials of the solid ores. Especially in the sectors, sodium sulfate is preferred because it is a neutral salt. The reason why sodium sulfate has a usable feature in the industry in general is that it is used because it is not similar to other water-soluble substances.
Generally, sodium sulfate is obtained from completely natural sources, as well as being supplied as another by-product, namely synthetic sodium sulfate, as a result of their processing in the materials. In mostly synthetically produced sodium sulfate, its own main production residues remain, albeit in very small amounts.
Areas of Use
The paper sector is a very important chemical substance used by cooking fibers, especially in the manufacture of cellulose and sodium sulfate, which are the most important materials of paper.
The detergent industry is the first preferred area of use for sodium sulfate. Because sodium sulfate is present in the formula of solid detergents and powder granules as a filler. Generally, sodium sulfate, which is present in detergents, is around 16%, but in some cases this rate can be around 40%.
The glass sector, especially in the formation of glass material, has the biggest role in sodium sulfate.
Textile dyeing, mostly in this field, sodium sulfate helps the dye to pass completely homogeneously to the fabric.
It is the most important chemical used in the cooking of fiber in cellulose production in the paper industry.
It is used at a rate of 25% in the detergent sector. Since it does not contain any toxic substances and obtaining a natural pH value is of great importance in this sector. It is used as a filler in the detergent sector.
It is used in the formation of glass pulp in the glass industry. 3% of sodium sulfate is consumed in glass production.
In textile dyeing, it ensures that the dye passes homogeneously to the textile surface.
It is used in the chemical industry in the production of chemicals such as potassium sulfate, aluminum sulfate, sodium silicate, sodium sulfide.
