Description: Candelilla Wax is a natural vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of the candelilla shrub (Euphorbia antisyphilitica), which is native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is produced by boiling the leaves in water and skimming the wax that rises to the surface. It is a hard, yellowish-brown substance with a high melting point. It is widely used as a thickening agent, emulsifier, stabilizer, film former, and glazing agent in cosmetics, personal care products, food, and industrial applications. It is a popular vegan alternative to beeswax.
