Ludigol is an anti-reduction agent and is used in the Chemical, electrical/electronic, photographic and textile processing industries.
Ludigol helps prevent unwanted reduction of dyes (e.g. reactive and disperse dyes) and re-oxidizes prints and dyes produced with vat dyes. When filled onto a discharge base ("Ludigolising"), Ludigol prevents the ground shade from decreasing during the printing process and during steaming. Lugidol Granules do not attract dust.
Normal application rate: 10 g / kg

Applications: Sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulfonate is a reagent used in the synthesis of azetidinyl ketolides for the treatment of susceptible and multidrug-resistant community-acquired respiratory tract infections. Sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulfonate Agent name Sodium 3-nitrobenzenesulfonate
Why Use?
To make dye colors brighter, to increase efficiency by preventing inactivation before binding to the fibers. Ludigol is necessary for this class of dyes, as monochlorotriazine dyes (Procion H type dyes) must be steam cured. Dichlorotriazine (Procion MX type) and monofluorotriazine (Cibacron F, Sabracron F) dyes can be used at room temperature, but can also be steamed or microwaved.
If heat is used with fiber reactive dyes, you can do without it, but Ludigol is definitely recommended. Ludigol is "essential for achieving very sharp edges on dyed fabrics." Ludigol is a mild oxidizing agent that helps prevent separation of dyes ("reduction" - a chemistry teacher question) during fixation, causing them to be more matte. It is a very important ingredient when working with deep shades and is considered by some to be essential when dyeing with Fiber Reactive dyes such as Procion MX or Vinyl Suphon Liquid Reactive Dyes and then steaming the work when working on silk. Ludigol: Sodium Salt of M-Nitrobenzene Sulfonic Acid, also known as Ludigol. Ludigol is a mild oxidizing agent that prevents the reduction of Reactive Dyes during the curing and setting stage of printing and hand dyeing. Ludigol is required in H dyes and optional in MX and F dyes. Ludigol F is a mild oxidizing agent used when dyes are steam cured. Adding Ludigol F to the dye promotes more vibrant colors. Ludigol F is useful when working with dark shades or silks. Ludigol is used in tie dyeing or other direct application dyeing. Ludigol is generally not used in single color dyeing. Reactive type dyes degrade slowly after mixing with water and the dye's effectiveness diminishes over time. The dye solution will soon lose all its effectiveness. Ludigol is added to the dye to prevent the dye from breaking down at a higher rate in water. Ludigol keeps the dye fresher for longer and allows more dye to react with the fabric, helping to make colors brighter. Ludigol F is a mild oxidizing agent used when steam-curing dyes. Adding it to the dye encourages more vibrant colors. Ludigol F is useful when working with dark shades or silks
