Send EmailRongalit D p, Reducing Agent For Printing, Discharge Agent, Textile Printing Discharge Agent, White, Color Discharge Printing Agent, (Archroma)
Rongalit® D p is a reducing and discharge agent developed by Archroma for textile printing. It is primarily used for white discharge printing on synthetic fibers, wool, and silk, as well as for discharge-resist printing on synthetic fibers. It is also suitable for colored discharge printing with acid dyes on polyamide, wool, and silk. The product is a white crystalline powder with good water solubility and is stable under proper storage conditions.
Appearance: White crystalline powder.
Chemical Composition: Zinc salt of a sulfinic acid derivative.
pH: Approximately 4.4 (10% solution).
Solubility: Good solubility in water at 20°C.
Storage Stability: Can be stored in sealed containers at 0°C to 40°C for at least 12 months. Partially used containers should be kept closed and used promptly.
Safety: Avoid contact with acids or oxidizing agents.
White Discharge Printing:
Suitable for synthetic fibers (polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile), wool, and silk.
Used for dischargeable dyeings on acetate, triacetate, and their blends with polyamide.
Discharge-Resist Printing:
Suitable for dischargeable padded or fully printed grounds on polyester, triacetate, and triacetate/polyamide blends.
Colored Discharge Printing:
Used with acid dyes on dischargeable dyeings on polyamide, wool, and silk.
Thickeners: Rongalit® D p can only be used with thickeners that are stable to heavy metal salts. Residues from thickeners may harden the fabric handle, so Lufibrol® TA liq (1-2 g/l) should be added to the wash or reductive bath to improve wash-off properties.
Viscosity: The addition of Rongalit® D p generally increases the viscosity of print pastes, reducing the need for additional thickeners.
Dye Selection: Careful selection of dyes and dyeing conditions is crucial for producing dischargeable grounds with disperse dyes.
White Discharge and Discharge-Resist Printing:
Guideline Recipe:
450 g thickener resistant to metal salts (10-14% solution).
50-80 g Pluriol® E 300 (improves discharge effect and color yield).
10 g Ultraphor® RN Plus liq (improves white effect).
20-250 g Rongalit® D p.
20 g Ammonium chloride.
X g suitable antifoam.
Water or thickener to make 1000 g print paste.
Discharge Printing on Polyacrylonitrile Fabrics:
Recommended addition: 150-250 g Rongalit® D p.
Polyester:
Discharge: 15 minutes at 175°C (superheated steam).
Discharge-resist: 6-8 minutes at 175°C (superheated steam).
Acetate/Polyamide:
Discharge: 8-12 minutes at 102°C (saturated steam).
Triacetate:
Discharge: 20 minutes at 2.2 bar (pressure steam) or 8 minutes at 175°C (superheated steam).
Polyacrylonitrile:
Discharge: 8-12 minutes at 102°C (saturated steam) or 20 minutes at 1.2 bar (pressure steam).
Wool and Silk:
Discharge: 10-20 minutes at 102°C (saturated steam).
Print.
Dry.
Steam: 6-10 minutes at 102°C (saturated steam, air-free).
Cure: 5 minutes at 150°C (hot air).
Cold rinse.
Treat at 40°C-60°C with 2 ml/l hydrogen peroxide.
Soap: At 60°C-70°C with a Kieralon® washing agent.
Thorough washing.
Dry and make up.
Thorough Wash-Off: Essential to remove thickener residues and prevent fabric hardening.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from acids and oxidizing agents.
Safety Data: Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed toxicological and ecological information.
