SECTION 16: CRITICAL WARNINGS AND BEST PRACTICES

CRITICAL WARNINGS:

Thickener Restriction: Rongalit® D p can only be used with thickeners resistant to heavy metal salts. Using incompatible thickeners will cause precipitation and poor results.

Acid Incompatibility: Decomposes upon contact with acids; loses effectiveness.

Oxidizer Incompatibility: Violent reaction with oxidizing agents.

Temperature Sensitivity: Thermal decomposition above 50°C; store below 40°C; do not overheat during drying.

Residue Prevention: Thickener residues cause fabric stiffness; ensure thorough washing with Lufibrol® TA liq (1-2 g/l).

Fiber-Specific Conditions: Different fibers require specific steaming conditions; follow recommended parameters for each fiber type.

BEST PRACTICE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Storage: Store in cool, dry (0°C-40°C), acid-free, oxidizer-free environment in original sealed packaging.

Thickener Selection: Use only heavy metal-resistant thickeners; test compatibility before production.

Viscosity Adjustment: Account for viscosity increase when adding Rongalit® D p; adjust thickener content accordingly.

Dye Selection: Pre-test dyes for dischargeability; select appropriate dyes for dischargeable grounds.

Steaming: Follow fiber-specific steaming conditions (temperature, time, steam type).

Washing: Thorough washing with Lufibrol® TA liq is essential to prevent fabric stiffness.

Safety: Use PPE (gloves, goggles, mask); avoid breathing dust; avoid contact with acids and oxidizers.
