Helizarin® ET 95 FR liq is a binder developed by Archroma for pigment printing pastes, suitable for use on cellulosic and synthetic fabrics, as well as their blends (e.g., polyester/cellulosic fabrics). It provides excellent fastness properties, including rubbing and washing fastness, a soft handle, and good resistance to mechanical strain. It also offers excellent running properties on printing machines and very good light stability. The product is APEO-free, making it environmentally friendly.

Key Features:

• Appearance: White, low-viscosity liquid dispersion.

• Chemical Composition: Self-crosslinking acrylate-based copolymer.

• Ionic Character: Anionic.

• Solid Content: 40% ± 1.

• Specific Weight: 1.03 g/cm³ at 20°C.

• Viscosity: 40-100 mPa.s (Brookfield at 23°C).

• pH: 7.5-8.

• Dilution: Can be diluted in any proportion with cold water.

• Storage Stability: 6-12 months when stored in the original container between 2°C and 40°C.

• Frost Resistance: Not frost-resistant.

• Compatibility: Compatible with anionic and nonionic products but incompatible with cationic products.

• Foaming Behavior: Moderate.

Applications:

1. Pigment Printing:

   • Suitable for pigment printing on cellulosic and synthetic fabrics, including polyester/cellulosic blends.

   • Provides excellent fastness properties, soft handle, and good mechanical resistance.

2. Guideline Recipe:

   • Stock Paste:

     • Soft water: X grams.

     • Antimussol® UDF liq (1:2 in water): 1-2 grams.

     • Ammonia (adjust to pH 8.5): 2-3 grams.

     • Helizarin® ET 95 FR liq: 50-200 grams.

     • Luprintol® Soft VSN liq: 0-15 grams.

     • Luprintol® Fixing Agent FF liq: 0-10 grams.

     • Lutexal® ESN liq: 18-20 grams.

     • Total: 1000 grams.

   • Printing Paste:

     • Printofix® Pigment: Y grams.

     • Stock Paste: Z grams.

     • Total: 1000 grams.

   • Remark: Adding 3-5 grams/kg of Luprintol® Additive RM liq is recommended as a rheology modifier to improve print paste performance, especially on synthetic fibers.

3. Operating Mode:

   • Print the fabric.

   • Dry.

   • Cure with hot air for:

     • 5 minutes at 150°C.

     • 3 minutes at 170°C.

     • 1 minute at 180°C.

Auxiliaries:

• Luprintol® Soft VSN liq: Improves dry rubbing fastness and handle.

• Luprintol® Fixing Agent FF liq: Formaldehyde-free fixing agent that improves wet rubbing fastness.

• Lutexal® ESN liq: Pigment printing thickener, stable to electrolytes, suitable for water with high electrolyte content.

• Antimussol® UDF liq: Prevents foam during stirring.

• Luprintol® Additive RM liq: Helps control viscosity and improves sharpness on synthetic fibers. It also reduces the amount of synthetic thickener needed.

Safety and Storage:

• Storage: Store between 2°C and 40°C in the original container. The product is not frost-resistant.
