Application Description
Exhaust Dyeing Applied together with dyes at the start of the dyeing cycle; rapidly and completely exhausted at 130°C
Pad-Thermosol Process Used in pad-dry-thermosol processes; sublimation may occur at high temperatures
Printing Added to printing paste; fixed in high-temperature steam

5.1 Exhaust Dyeing Process

Process:

  • Heat to 130°C

  • Process at 130°C for 30-60 minutes

5.2 Pad-Thermosol (Continuous) Process

Process:

  • Padding pick-up: 60-80%

  • Final process: Reduction cleaning (with soda and hydrosulfite)

SECTION 7: REDUCTION CLEANING (RECOMMENDED)

Reduction cleaning is recommended for optimum light fastness :

3 Warm washing 50°C with 1 g/l Lyogen® DFT liq

5 Cold rinsing With neutralization

SECTION 10: CRITICAL WARNINGS AND SPECIAL NOTES

CRITICAL WARNINGS:

Freezing: Product freezes at -30°C but fully regains effectiveness after thawing and stirring.

Carrier Use: Carriers may be used, but carrier residues can adversely affect light fastness.

Sublimation Loss: Partial sublimation may occur during subsequent heat treatments; can be compensated by increasing dosage.

Automotive Applications: Fadex® AS New version is developed to meet VDA 278 test requirements for the automotive industry.

Washing: Reduction cleaning is recommended for all dyeings to achieve optimum light fastness.
